As the Deer Pants
Inspired by Psalm 42:1, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”
As the Deer Pants depicts a solitary deer drinking from a mountain stream, reflecting the Psalmist’s longing for the presence of God. Just as the deer instinctively seeks water to satisfy its deepest thirst, our souls were created with a longing that can only be satisfied by Him.
Set beneath towering mountains and beside flowing water, this piece serves as a quiet reminder to seek God with the same desire and dependence—to thirst for His presence, draw near to Him, and recognize Him as the source our souls truly need.
